For us Jesus Youth, the Jubilee was a time of special grace for everyone in the movement, during the course of which there were numerous occasions to reflect on the call and mission of being a Jesus Youth. The declaration of the Year of Faith has been most eagerly welcomed in the Jesus Youth movement as a God-given opportunity for ‘fostering the graces received during the Jubilee’.

As Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI has exhorted, the Year of Faith, will be a good opportunity to usher the whole Church into a time of particular reflection and rediscovery of the faith and to review its efforts at nurturing the faith of the new generation.

In this context, the Jesus Youth is initiating a series of regional conferences titled “Faith Conference” across the country, with the central theme “Faith”. The aim of the conference is to enable the participants to know more and to re-discover their faith, help them to live the faith in a meaningful way and guide them on how to profess the faith with renewed conviction and vigor.

We will have 12 Faith conferences spread over the year, across all Ecclesial regions and involving thousands of Jesus Youth in India. The Faith Conference of Northern Region is being held in Delhi NCR.

If you have attended an initial retreat, have a personal Jesus experience, have been part of JY prayer group or ministry, we invite you to be part of these blessed days of grace to come together, to know, live and share the faith!

The Nicene Creed is the Prayer for the Year of Faith. Do learn the Creed 'by heart' and recite everyday as a preparation for the Faith Conference.

The Profession of Faith
I believe in one God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,

I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins

As we prepare ourselves for the Faith Conference, the Jesus Youth National Team (JYNT) offers a four-week preparatory package for all its participants. Every capsule includes both spiritual and practical things which last for a week. It is also recommended that you read Porta Fidei (the Apostolic Letter on the Year of Faith) and a document on Jesus Youth & the Year of Faith written by Manoj Sunny.
